Will and James here, thank you for joining us. We have created this website to allow you to follow our upcoming Running Britain adventure.

Starting 9th May 2019, the challenge begins in John O Groats (the most Northeasterly point) as we set off to reach Lands End (the most Southwesterly point) covering 1000 miles. 40 marathons back to back.

Travelling completely self supported means there is no support team as we will be carrying all of the equipment we will need on our backs, and will be pre-planning the following day during the evenings.

We are raising money for the Ickle Pickles and Helping Damo.

Ickle Pickles is an amazing charity that was there in a time of need for James’ sister in 2016 when her twins, Phoebe and Isabelle were born at just 29 weeks. Phoebe weighed only 1lb 14oz and Isabelle 2lb 5oz. 90,000 babies are born premature every year, and Ickle Pickles turn generous donations into specialist equipment for the intensive care units that treat these babies and keep them alive. Phoebe spent 54 days in NICU and Isabelle 48 days.

They are now 2 and a half years old, fit and well thanks to the support from Ickle Pickles.

In June 2017, Will traveled to the French Alps with his best friend Damien to ride the mountain bike trails. On June 13th, during their trip, Damien had a serious accident after attempting a jump which left him paralyzed from the neck down. Money raised from this challenge will ensure that Damien receives extensive physio therapy, and has access to specialist equipment to help with his recovery. Heʼs currently in 24/7 care with the goal that with the right support, he can work towards living a more independent life.

So please help us reach our target. No donation is too small.

About will & james

Originally, it was their passion for music that introduced the pair. In the early days, the boys used to play in a band together, James on drums, Will on vocals and guitar. As the band days fizzled out the boys started playing less and getting out more. This time it was their shared love for the outdoors. running was a natural direction to take following a background of hiking, cycling, Camping and exploration.

The Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks Challenge.

Within a few weeks the boys loaded the car one Friday night and headed North to run the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks Challenge. A 26 mile circular trail climbing the three highest peaks in the Dales with a 12hr cut off for hikers. They completed the challenge in just over 6 hours.

London - Home. The first big adventure.

In May 2018 Will and James hopped on a train to London, arrived at Buckingham Palace to turn around and run home. Covering 102 miles over 4 days the duo arrived at the Spotted Cow Pub to a crowd of friends and family. Together with the support of everyone who got involved, the boys managed to raise over £5000 for beloved friend Damien helping him to recover following a tragic mountain bike accident that left him paralysed.
